Summary Amazonia: A Celebration of Life (1984, 22 minutes)
Set in the Peruvian Amazon, this film presents a kaleidoscope of tropical species, from giant otters to tiny tree frogs. Originally aired on National Geographic Explorer, Amazonia serves as an excellent introduction to the diversity of life in a tropical forest, as well as some of the human threats to this diversity.

Rain Forest Rap(1988, 6:30 minutes)
Rain Forest Rap is a music video about tropical rainforests. Aimed at children of ages 6 to 11, this educational video uses an "MTV" approach to teach kids about the amazing wealth of life in tropical rainforests, how these forests are being destroyed, and what they can do to help protect them. Rain Forest Rap is being used in schools across the country in conjunction with the Smithsonian's Vanishing Rainforests traveling exhibit.
