SummaryIn another 30 minute interview show, we look at the career of Pam Fingado, a painter and paper artist of Swedish, Irish and Spanish ancestry. Eve A. Ma is once again the host. A significant portion of the show is devoted to Ms. Fingado’s attempts to come to terms with her Swedish ancestry after a key relative passed away. She explains how she tried to recreate some of their experiences through her paintings, while giving us some information about Swedes in the United States. In another part of the show, we are treated to a visit to the artist’s studio where we see a demonstration of how she creates her paper figures. Ms. Fingado has taught as well as practiced her art, and we learn from her what many of the best teachers report: that she probably learns as much from her students as they do from her.
